I am a registered psychologist with a private practice in the heart of Cairns. FEES and REFERRALS
Medicare
The fee for a standard consultation (50 minutes) is $170.00. Self-referred clients are welcome as are referrals through your GP or other allied health services. If referred by a GP or Psychiatrist under a "Mental Health Care Plan" you are eligible for a Medicare rebate of $92.90 per session (out pocket expense is $77.10 per session)
Private Health Insurance
Depending on your policy, you may be eligible to receive a rebate through your private health cover
